Engineered to your sail designer's specifications, our method uses alloy female moulds: a ground-breaking technique in its application to sail battens that means the exterior of the batten has a flawless finish. Using an internal bladder to create vacuum pressure drives greater compaction, eliminates voids and produces a thinner product whilst retaining the key characteristics of strength, stiffness and durability. This is further reinforced by our use of internal joins - creating a visibly seamless, flush exterior for each sail batten regardless of the size. A maximised "snug fit" in batten pockets results in less sail batten movement within the pocket, significantly reducing chafe and wear on the sail. The life of the sail is then extended which can save huge costs in the long term on sail repair and maintenance.
